Make Sewtropolis your sewing home away from home. We have a spacious studio space with sewing machines, sergers and lots of cutting space available to rent by the hour. Our instructors are also available for one-on-one instruction for those challenging projects.
Sew by the Hour
$5/Hour
Work at your own pace and on your own projects. Sew by the hour is independent studio time. You must have experience using a sewing machine.
Serge by the Hour
$10/Hour
Just like Sew by the Hour, Serge by the Hour is independent studio time. You must have experience using a serger. Don't have experience? Then give us a call to set up a 15 min one-on-one session to get you started. You will need to bring your own thread, or be stuck using what's available from previous customer projects.
One-on-One Instruction
$25/Hour
Come to a road block in a project and can't seem to get around it on your own? Or want to take a class, but the timing just isn't right for your schedule? Call the store and reserve some one-on-one time and we'll help you navigate the roadblocks of sewing.
Meeting space rental
Our studio space is also available to rent for guild meetings, birthday parties, girl scout meetings or any other event you are planning. Call the store schedule your event!

The Modern Quilt Guild is a community of quilt guilds across the country. The founding branch of the guild started in Los Angeles in October of 2009. Through blogs & the internet word spread quickly of the fun they were having and now branches have started popping up all over the country - including Minneapolis!
